Car Parking Placement and Supervision for Vietnamese Community Concert at Whitlam Recreation Centre art / cultural event

On 30th November, 2012 2 Lions (18 Hrs) and 2 Volunteers (16 Hrs) conducted car parking placement and supervision at the Whitlam Recreation Centre Liverpool NSW for a concert conducted for the Vietnamese community of Liverpool NSW and surrounding districts.

Santa Claus Visited Congregation at St Marks Church, Sadleir NSW (Dec 2012) civic services

 

In December, 2012 Lion Roy Wright (4Hrs) visited the Congregation of St Marks Church at Sadleir - a suburb of Liverpool NSW - acting as and dressed appropriately as Santa Claus.

Volunteers Thank You Luncheon at Liverpool NSW Hospital 10th December, 2012 (Dec 2012) civic services

 

On 10th December, 2012, 7 Lions and 1 Lions Lady (16 Hrs) attended an appreciation luncheon hosted by the management of Liverpool NSW Hospital as volunteers and supporters of the Hospital during 2012.

On 8th December, 2012, 4 Lions (52 Hrs) and 2 Volunteers (24 Hrs) conducted car parking placement and supervision at Whitlam Recreation Centre at Liverpool NSW for the TV promotion of The World's Biggest Loser. Funds raised AU$699-00

Collection of Used Eyeglasses for Recycling for the Month of December, 2012 (Dec 2012) eyeglass recycling

 

During the Month of December, 2012 President Yvonne ROSS and Secretary Bob Grimson collected 45 pairs of used eyeglasses and sent to Lions Australian Eye Glasses recycling Centre at Clontarf QLD.

During the month of December, 2012 Secretary Bob Grimson carried out 70 hours in administering and reporting Club projects other than previously specifically mentioned.

During the month of December, 2012 Treasurer Brian Rope carried out 32 hours in administering the insome and expenditure relating to the Club's fundraising and donations for the month.

Continue with Construction of Training Facility for St John Ambulance Brigade at Bonnyrigg High School (Dec other disaster preparedness & relief 2012)

 

During the month of December, 2012 3 Members, Lions Ollie Lassen, Graham Field & Bob Grimson spent 78 hours continued with the construction of the building at Bonnyrigg High School.The building is to be used by the St John Ambulance Brigade Cadet Division which is housed within the Bonnyrig High School Complex. In the event of a disaster in the Liverpool and Fairfield NSW Municipalities the building, along with other facilities within the Bonnyrigg High School, these facilities will be used extensively. Materials were purchased from funds supplied by Mount Pritchard Community Club and other materials donated by Bunnings Warehouse at Bonnyrigg NSW.

During the month of December, 2012 Lion Roy Wright (12Hrs) removed from electric light poles and public fences some 145 bill posters within the CBD and surrounding areas of Liverpool NSW.

Conduct Community BBQ at Bunnings Prestons NSW 1st December, 2012 (Dec 2012) other fundraising

 

On 1st December, 2012 8 Lions (66 Hrs) conducted a Community fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Warehouse at Prestons a suburb of Liverpool NSW - Net Funds

Annual Santa Claus Visit to Liverpool Hospital Xmas Day 25th December, 2012. (Dec 2012) other health & wellness

 

Each year the Club's resident Santa Claus with support from other Members visits 3 sections of Liverpool Hospital - Childrens' Ward, Newborn Maternity Sectionand the Newborn Intensive Care Section. This is an Annual Event that has been carried out by the Club for over 40 years. A digital Photo is taken (Prior to Digital Photography a Polaroid Photo) of all of the above, other Members set up a print shop in a spare room, add an overlay to the photos and fit to a 7" x 5" frame. All in all a superb finish. These photos are presented to all the patients and Staff for no cost to them. The number of photos taken this year reached 90 including the nursing staff of each Section.

 

5 Lions Xmas Cakes were donated to the Nursing Staff on duty to consume at their tea breaks.

 

6 Lions 39 Hours. Total cost of production $475-00

Donation to Moorebank High School for Prize to a Worthy Student for 2012. (Dec 2012) scholarships

In early December, 2012 the Club donated AU$100-00 to Moorebank (A suburb of Liverpool NSW) High School for a prize to be presented to a worthy student on behalf of Liverpool Lions Club. The Presentation Function was held on the evening of 18th December, 2012.

On Sunday, 9th December, 2012 12 Members (90 Hrs) 4 Lions Ladies (24 Hrs) conducted and hosted a Xmas Luncheon for Members and particularly for 4 prospective Lions Members and 1 LEO Club Member.
